September 2nd, 8:30-9am Astor Boohoo Breakfast & first full day of Kindergarten

• When you drop of your new kindergartner, fortify your spirits with a cup of coffee & a snack while you visit with other kindergarten parents.

September 12th, 8:45-9:15am Principal Coffee Chat

• This monthly chat with Principal Robertson is an opportunity to hear about current issues in the school & district, meet school staff & community partners & get your questions answered.

• Where: on the Astor Playground by the Cafeteria doors, or in the cafeteria.

• Bring your BLUE BAGS!

September 18th, 5:30-7pm Back to School Night

• Visit your student's classroom & chat with teachers.

• Representatives from after school programs, community partners & cultural groups will have tables with information about their services & programs.

• Enter through cafeteria

September 23-25th, School Pictures

• Kids, brush your hair and put on a clean shirt & a smile for school picture day.

September 25th, 9-11am Run for Astor

• The Run for Astor is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year (not a PTSO fundraiser) and a fun way to encourage our kids to be physically active. Come make some noise & cheer the students on as they run laps to raise money for their school!

September 27th, 9am - 12pm Green Team Work Party

• Astor's Green Team meets multiple times per year to improve & maintain the school's greenspace. Fun way for the kids to help nurture their school, or just hang out with friends while you shovel dirt & pull weeds.
